Garden State Eldercare Documentary

An eleventh-hour crisis often prompts a frantic search for a home care provider. Whether the problem is a fall, a complication related to an illness, depression, or dementia, most elderly individuals will eventually need assistance of some kind—the kind most families are not equipped to provide.

We founded Garden State ElderCare in response to the increasing need for dependable, high-quality, comprehensive programs of care and services for the elderly. Our company is owned and managed by us: elder care professionals with more than 30 years of health care experience in a variety of hospital, corporate health care, and nonprofit settings. We know that the right home care services improve quality of life for the elderly, their families, and the community at large. By drawing upon our extensive experience in elder care, we create the maximum benefit for our clients, their families, and referring professionals.

Prior to forming Garden State ElderCare, Kerry Boland was employed as the director of operations for Senior Bridge (NY), a New York City-based company; as the quality management coordinator for Oxford Health Plans; and as a staff nurse at St. Vincent’s Hospital and Medical Center.

Ethan Kassel is a licensed clinical social worker specializing in geriatric care management. Prior to forming Garden State ElderCare, he was employed as the director of client services for Senior Bridge (NY & NJ); as the geriatric care manager for Second Family Caregivers in New Jersey; and as a medical social worker for the Visiting Nurse Service of New York. Mr. Kassel is a member of the Aging Life Care Association and served as president for the New Jersey chapter.
